By adding Classic Bungalow Architecture to this 1950’s lake home, we created a welcoming sense of arrival to fulfill our client’s vision. We introduced a “Barrier Free” site design which created a front porch environment that is inviting and functional. The garage was built 10+ years ago and the floor height was a few feet higher than the existing homes’ finish floor. This created drainage and basement waterproofing issues and included steps and it made the home feel like it was in a hole.
McMillan created a comprehensive site plan, drainage and waterproofing plan as well as the Architectural drawings to save this Lake Norman home from being demolished.
